"A Florida Cattle Ranch” Stewardship Calendar
Award winning photography of Adams Ranch to benefit Audubon of Florida

Stuart, FL – Adams Ranch is pleased to announce the release of the first “A Florida Cattle Ranch” calendar for 2006. Full of breathtaking pictures taken by acclaimed photographers Alto “Bud” Adams Jr. and Carlton Ward Jr., the calendar is an inspiring, pictorial journey of life on a working cattle ranch and the nature that surrounds it. Proceeds from the sale of the calendar will benefit Audubon of Florida.

The Adams Ranch, located in St. Lucie County, Florida, is an outstanding example of how stewardship of the land within a working cattle ranch enhances the natural environment while remaining a profitable agricultural operation. The Adams Ranch is in the process of becoming part of a Rural Land Stewardship Project, covering approximately 23,000 acres of lands, with the goal of being able to protect this special place in perpetuity. Project goals are to promote rural economic development, control urban sprawl, protect the character of rural areas and conserve natural lands.

“Adams Ranch contains some of the best habitat for birds and other wildlife in all of Florida. The Stewardship program is an opportunity to preserve the natural environment for future generations while supporting our agricultural economy and controlling sprawl in rural lands,” explained Eric Draper of Audubon of Florida. “It would be a great shame to see this beautiful area lost.”

The calendar is available for $18 at the following locations:
